Whether as Gift idea or for your own home: Textile paint can be used to create a blanket in no time – for example with a pattern of golden moons.
Customize textiles – it’s that easy
For me, winter time is cuddly blanket time – are you feeling the same way? When it is cold and wet outside, I prefer to dig in at home under several layers of cozy textiles. Depending on the material they are made of, the pillows and blankets can also be embellished individually. For the Frosch Blog, for example, this month I came up with an idea of how a simple blanket can be designed. With golden textile paint and self-made cardboard stencils, I decorated a light, plain-colored cotton blanket with a subtle pattern of full and half moons. To do this, the template is simply placed on the desired location on the textile and lightly pressed on. Then the paint is applied with the brush. The pastier the color, the better. In this way, the entire ceiling is printed with the moons. Then let it dry before the print can be fixed with the help of an iron.
However, it is important that the color can only be used to create a blanket that is made of a natural material such as cotton and has a surface that is as smooth as possible so that the outlines of the applied shapes are clearly and clearly recognizable. A fluffy fleece blanket is therefore less suitable.
Instead of the motif with the moons, the project can of course also be implemented with other shapes. For example, are also possible geometric shapes like triangles, circles or squares or a simple brush stroke pattern.
