Easy mussel decoration idea: From the finds from the beach you can quickly create a great chain of lights with macrame yarn.
Who knows that too: As soon as I’m somewhere by the sea, my passion for collecting grabs me. If Shellfish or Stones – many of the Finds walk from the beach in my suitcase with me home. Even if I have no concrete idea of what I’m going to do with the treasures I collect, it is difficult for me to control myself and not to go on a collecting tour. Even if it is absolutely unfavorable. When I was backpacking in Panama a few years ago, I couldn’t help packing lots of shells. My back was not so amused.
This month I came up with an idea for a shell decoration for the Frosch Blog. Because it would be a shame if all the finds found were dusted in a bag in the corner. From a handful of small shells and some macrame yarn, I created a DIY light chain in a maritime style.
The implementation is really easy. So that everything is safe, I used an LED light chain with wire for the project. The individual shells are simply attached to the lamps with hot glue. As a special icing on the cake, the fairy lights were last with something Macrame Embellished with natural cotton yarn. Would you like to try out this shell decoration idea? You can find the instructions for this HERE on the frog blog!
I used my fairy lights to decorate my friend’s old, discarded surfboard. I think that fits pretty well and gives the bedroom a wonderful vacation feeling.
